Jack Scott’s recordings from the early years of Rock &Roll sound even better today. During The Carlton Years in 1950’s Detroit at United Sound, Jack experimented with Rock, Country, Gospel, Pop and the earliest of what would, later, become known as ‘Rockabilly.’ It was a time when Stereo Recordings were rare. The Top Rank years in the 1960’s, recorded at Bell Studios in New York, are beautiful, fine, sophisticated, double/sided gems. But even then, Jack did not abandon Rockabilly. Fans are very loyal to Jack. It's always been so in Europe, but these days, there is even a resurgence in North America. In 2017 Jack Headlined a Rockabilly Show in Las Vegas, of all places, with fans coming in from all over the world. No one is more surprised than Jack. Every time he thinks he'll no longer perform outside Windsor/ Detroit again....the phone rings and it's England or Finland or Spain or France. I think that The Energy, Simplicity and Honesty of Rockabilly transcends it from being a 'Fad' to an Art Form. Jack Scott rarely drank, never smoked or did Drugs. At the age of 83, with a Vocal Range that has not been diminished by time…..from The Golden Years of Rock & Roll…..Jack Scott may well be ‘The Last Man Standing’.
