ReplyDeleteOriginally released in 1979 this is an often talked about, fantastic new wave summer soundtrack. It was the soundtrack to the Columbia Pictures film of the same name.
Never released on CD, 8 classic punk and new wave bonus tracks have now been added all with a 'summer' tinged theme: surf, sun, sand, beach, sea, pool, etc. all released before and in 1979,
the original film and album release date, making it a 24 track album with a 79:29 minute CD running time.
The album ends with the Ruts explosive classic 'Babylon's Burning'. This single captured the mood of the time, as riots swept Britain in the summer of 1979. 'Babylon's Burning' is about the fiery collapse of western civilization.
