The Trojan Story (2021, 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition) (3CD) (1971)
ReplyDeleteThe Trojan Story was the first ‘various artists’ compilation of Jamaican music; a comprehensive anthology of the island’s musical development, featuring vintage ska, rock steady and reggae music.
Trojan originally released this compilation 50 years ago in 1971. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, they recently reissued it for the very first time on CD.
Sadly, Trojan recently lost the rights to 11 of the original tracks. These 11 tracks were released on previous Trojan CD compilations over the years, which have now been added back as bonus tracks to each CD of the 3CD set in this collection.
